Cástor y Pólux:
Tíndaro,rey de Esparta, en Grecia, estaba casado con la hermosa Leda, de la que tenía dos hijos Cástor y Clitemnestra. Júpiter se introdujo en forma de cisne en los jardines de Leda, y la robó para él. Tuvo de ella dos hijos Pólux y la bella Helena. Ya os he dicho, niños míos, que la vanidad de los hombres por darse un encumbrado origen era la que inventaba tanto disparate. Dijeron, pues, que Pólux y Helena habían salido de un huevo que puso Leda (regularmente sería piando como los pollos). Los dos hermanos Cástor y Pólux se quisieron con tanta ternura, que jamás se separaron, ni aun después de muertos, porque así se lo pidió Pólux a su padre, que colocó a ambos en el Cielo como constelaciones, y se hallan entre los signos del Zodiaco denominándose los Gemelos(Géminis).
